Tempur-Pedic is the brand that made memory foam famous, and it's part of the Tempur Sealy family alongside Sealy and Cocoon by Sealy. Its mattresses are built around proprietary TEMPUR-Material, a dense, slow-responding foam that molds closely to your body.
The model on findmattress.com is the Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-Adapt, the entry tier of the Adapt collection (retailers often list the current generation as Adapt 2.0). It's 11 inches tall, with a cool-to-touch cover over TEMPUR-ES and original TEMPUR-Material layers and a polyfoam base. A Medium Hybrid version adds roughly 1,000 wrapped coils for more bounce and edge support. It's made in the USA.
Tempur-Pedic calls the all-foam version Medium, but independent testers rate it about 7.5 out of 10, so it feels firmer than the label suggests once you settle in. Its standout traits on paper are pressure relief and motion isolation, both 5 out of 5 in our review-based ratings. The trade-offs are heat (cooling rates just 2 out of 5 despite the cover) and very little bounce, which can make changing position feel slow.
It's also expensive: about $2,199 for a queen at list price, often around $1,899 on sale. The trial is 90 nights, the shortest among major brands on our site, and the warranty is 10 years.
Who should shop Tempur-Pedic? Light sleepers who share a bed, side and back sleepers with sore pressure points, and anyone who loves a deep memory foam hug. Who should skip it? Hot sleepers, combination sleepers who move a lot, and budget shoppers.

The TEMPUR-Adapt is the entry tier of Tempur-Pedic's Adapt collection, sold at retailers as Adapt 2.0. It's an 11" bed made with TEMPUR-ES and original TEMPUR-Material under a cool-to-touch cover. It's available as all-foam Medium or as a Medium Hybrid with about 1,000 wrapped coils. Testers rate the all-foam version 7.5 out of 10. That makes this firmer than its "Medium" label suggests. This Tempur-Pedic Adapt review finds it ideal for couples and anyone who wants deep pressure relief. Hot sleepers should be cautious.

Questions about Tempur-Pedic
Is Tempur-Pedic worth the money?
It can be if you specifically want dense memory foam with top-tier pressure relief and motion isolation. By the specs, the TEMPUR-Adapt does both very well. But at around $1,899 on sale for a queen, it costs about $1,000 more than strong all-foam options like Nectar or Casper, runs warm and has a short 90-night trial.
Does Tempur-Pedic sleep hot?
It tends to. Despite a cool-to-touch cover, the TEMPUR-Adapt scores just 2 out of 5 for cooling in our review-based ratings, the lowest of any mattress on our site. Dense memory foam holds body heat. If you run hot, consider the Medium Hybrid version, a latex or coil hybrid, or a Purple mattress instead.
What is the difference between TEMPUR-Adapt and Adapt Medium Hybrid?
The all-foam Adapt stacks TEMPUR-Material layers on a polyfoam base for a deep, close hug. The Medium Hybrid keeps the TEMPUR comfort layers but adds about 1,000 wrapped coils, which by design adds bounce, airflow and edge support. The hybrid costs more; one retailer listed a queen at about $2,600.
