Cocoon by Sealy is the online, mattress-in-a-box line from Sealy, part of the Tempur Sealy family that also includes Tempur-Pedic. It gives you a big-manufacturer pedigree at a budget price. The model on findmattress.com is the Cocoon by Sealy Chill Memory Foam.
The Chill is a 10-inch all-foam mattress with a phase-change-material cooling cover over memory foam, a responsive comfort foam and a support foam base. It's sold in a single medium-firm feel, which independent testers rate about 6.5 out of 10.
Cooling is the headline. In our review-based ratings it earns a 5 out of 5 for cooling, unusual for a memory foam bed at this price, along with 5 out of 5 for motion isolation and 4 out of 5 for pressure relief. The trade-offs are average edge support and very little bounce, typical of all-foam designs.
Pricing comes from an independent review: about $599 for a queen at list price, often around $399 on sale. An older source listed a much higher price, so pricing may have changed; confirm on Cocoon's site before you buy. It comes with a 100-night trial and a 10-year limited warranty.
Who should shop Cocoon by Sealy? Hot sleepers who want memory foam, couples on a budget, and back and combination sleepers. Who should skip it? People who sit or sleep near the edge, heavier sleepers who want coil support, and anyone who dislikes the slow-moving feel of memory foam.
Compare it with other budget foam beds like the Zinus Green Tea, Siena Memory Foam and Nectar Classic, or take the mattress quiz.

Questions about Cocoon by Sealy
Is Cocoon by Sealy made by Sealy?
Yes. Cocoon by Sealy is Sealy's online, boxed-mattress line, and Sealy is part of the Tempur Sealy family of brands along with Tempur-Pedic. The Chill is designed as a lower-cost, ship-to-your-door, mattress-in-a-box alternative to the mattresses Sealy sells through stores.
Does the Cocoon Chill actually sleep cool?
By the specs and independent reviews, it does better than most memory foam. It uses a phase-change cooling cover, and it scores 5 out of 5 for cooling in our review-based ratings. No foam mattress sleeps as cool as a latex or coil hybrid for everyone, but for a budget memory foam bed, cooling is its strongest point.
What is the Cocoon Chill's trial and warranty?
It comes with a 100-night trial and a 10-year limited warranty, based on an independent review, because Cocoon's site couldn't be checked directly. That's standard for the budget tier. Confirm the current trial, warranty and price on Cocoon by Sealy's site before you order.
