The Siena Signature 10" Memory Foam is one of the cheapest beds in our dataset. It has 2" of contouring memory foam over stability and base foam, plus a 180-night trial. Siena labels it Medium Firm, but Tom's Guide tested it as firm, 8 out of 10, the firmest score here. This Siena mattress review finds it a strong budget pick for back and stomach sleepers who want firm, flat support. It's a poor fit for most side sleepers, who need more cushioning at the shoulders.
Best for: Back sleepers · Stomach sleepers · Budget
What we like
- Very low price, often around $329 for a queen
- An 8/10 firm feel keeps back and stomach sleepers' hips level
- Motion isolation rated 5/5
- The 180-night trial is long for a budget bed
Watch out for
- Firmer than its "Medium Firm" label suggests
- Tom's Guide found pressure relief lacking for side sleepers
- Tom's Guide also noticed weaker edges after about 10 months
- Low bounce (2/5) and average cooling (3/5)
Siena feel and firmness
An 8 out of 10 is solidly firm. You get a thin layer of memory foam softness and then a dense, flat base. The gap between Siena's "Medium Firm" label and the tested 8/10 matters. If you've been shopping by label, this will feel firmer than you expect.
With only 2" of memory foam over stability and base foam, there isn't much between you and the firm core. That's the main reason the bed tests firmer than its label. The simple build also keeps the price low.
Best (and worst) sleeping positions
Stomach sleepers are the best match, because firm support stops the hips from sagging and arching the lower back. Back sleepers over about 130 lbs also do well. Side sleepers are the clear miss. Tom's Guide found pressure relief lacking at the shoulders and hips, and an 8/10 surface will feel hard for most side sleepers. Very light back sleepers may also find it unforgiving.
Cooling, motion and edges
Motion isolation is a 5, so a partner's movement is barely noticeable. Edges start out at 4, but Tom's Guide noticed reduced edge support after about 10 months of use, so expect the perimeter to soften. Cooling is a 3, typical for all-foam. The firm surface helps a little because you don't sink in.
Price, trial and warranty
Siena shows a "total value" of about $742 for a queen, which looks inflated by bundled extras. The usual price is around $329. Tom's Guide lists an MSRP of $399 and has seen sales near $294. You get a 180-night trial and a 10-year warranty, solid terms for a bed this cheap.
Ignore the "total value" figure when you compare. What matters is the price you'll actually pay, which has ranged from about $294 to $329. At that price, even a few years of good use is a fair return.
How it compares
The Zinus Green Tea costs about the same but is much softer (5.5/10), so it's the better budget pick for side sleepers. The Nectar Classic is also firm (7.5/10) and costs more, but has 5/5 edges, a 365-night trial and a lifetime warranty. If you want coils at a budget price, the Allswell Hybrid adds bounce. Siena also appears in our best firm mattress roundup.

Our verdict
The Siena Memory Foam is an inexpensive way to get genuinely firm support for back and stomach sleeping. It has a long 180-night trial and excellent motion isolation. Side sleepers should skip it, and anyone who sits on the edge of the bed a lot should know the perimeter may soften within a year.

Questions about the Siena Signature 10" Memory Foam
Is the Siena mattress firm?
Yes. Siena labels it Medium Firm, but Tom's Guide rated it 8 out of 10, the firmest score in our dataset. It feels firm and flat, with only a thin layer of memory foam cushioning.
Is the Siena mattress good for side sleepers?
Generally no. Tom's Guide found its pressure relief lacking for side sleepers, and an 8/10 surface tends to press on the shoulders and hips. The softer Zinus Green Tea is a better budget choice for side sleeping.
How long is the Siena sleep trial?
Siena offers a 180-night trial and a 10-year warranty. That's a longer trial than many budget brands and some premium ones. If the firmness doesn't suit you, the long trial gives you plenty of time to decide.
