The Allswell 10" Hybrid is Walmart's house-brand budget hybrid. It has a quilted comfort foam top, copper- and charcoal-infused memory foam and individually wrapped coils with reinforced edges. Tom's Guide rates it 7 out of 10, a firm-leaning medium-firm. It's the cheapest bed in our dataset. This Allswell Hybrid review finds it surprisingly capable on paper for back and combination sleepers on a tight budget, but there are real catches around returns and durability. Read the return terms before you buy.

What we like
- About $352 for a queen at list price, often around $282
- Real coils give bounce (4/5) and solid edges (4/5)
- Motion isolation rated 5/5, unusual for a cheap hybrid
- Cooling rated 4/5, better than most budget foam beds
Watch out for
- No true sleep trial, only a retailer return window
- Customer reports mention edge dipping and sagging over time
- At 10" with thin comfort layers, side sleepers and heavier bodies get limited cushioning

Allswell Hybrid feel and firmness
At 7 out of 10, the Allswell sits at the firm end of medium-firm. The quilted top and memory foam add a thin cushion, then you're on coil support. The coils make it feel livelier and more traditional than a budget all-foam bed.
Construction explains the feel. The copper- and charcoal-infused memory foam under the quilted top is mainly marketed for cooling and freshness, while the individually wrapped coils do most of the support work. The reinforced perimeter is why the edges test well when new. At 10" tall, it also suits standard frames better than the 13" to 14" luxury hybrids in our dataset.
Best (and worst) sleeping positions
Back sleepers between about 130 and 230 lbs get the most from it, with firm, even support and a bit of contouring. Combination sleepers benefit from the bounce. Stomach sleepers under about 200 lbs may find it firm enough. Lighter side sleepers may feel some shoulder pressure at 7/10, even with 4/5 pressure relief. Heavier sleepers should consider the thin build and the sagging reports.
Cooling, motion and edges
Test scores are strong for the price. Motion isolation is 5, cooling is 4 and edges are 4, helped by reinforced coils. The caveat is durability. Customer reports mention edges dipping and the bed sagging, so the edge support may not hold up as well as the scores suggest.
Price, trial and warranty
Expect about $352 for a queen at list price, often on sale for around $282, making it the cheapest bed here. It has no sleep trial. Instead, Tom's Guide cites a 90-day retailer return window, so check the seller's policy before you buy. The warranty is 10 years.
Because it's a Walmart house brand, prices and return terms can vary by seller. Buy from a retailer whose return policy you've read. If a long, no-hassle trial matters more than saving a few hundred dollars, a direct-to-consumer brand is the safer route.
How it compares
The DreamCloud Classic Hybrid costs about twice as much but adds a 365-night trial and lifetime warranty. That's a big safety net if you're unsure. The Zinus Green Tea is a similarly priced all-foam option that's softer and has a 100-night trial. For a firm hybrid with stronger edges, the Helix Dawn is a step up in price. The Allswell also appears in our best budget mattress guide.

Our verdict
The Allswell Hybrid is the cheapest way in our dataset to get a coil bed with good test scores. It's a reasonable pick for back sleepers, guest rooms and first apartments. The trade-offs are no true sleep trial and reports of sagging. Skip it if you need a long return window or plan to use it nightly for many years.

Questions about the Allswell 10" Hybrid
Does the Allswell mattress have a sleep trial?
No, not in the usual sense. Instead of a brand sleep trial, you rely on the retailer's return window. Tom's Guide cites 90 days. Check the policy where you buy before you order. If a long trial matters to you, the DreamCloud Classic Hybrid offers 365 nights for a little more money.
Is the Allswell Hybrid durable?
Test scores at purchase are good, but customer reports mention edge dipping and sagging over time. It's backed by a 10-year warranty. Heavier sleepers and nightly users should weigh this before buying. Check the edges early on and keep your receipt in case you need to make a claim.
Is the Allswell Hybrid good for back sleepers?
Yes, on paper. Its 7/10 firm-leaning medium-firm feel and coil support keep most back sleepers' hips level, and it scores 4/5 for pressure relief. Stomach sleepers under about 200 lbs may also find it supportive enough, but lighter side sleepers may feel some pressure at the shoulders.
